Weather Update-9AM

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 9:30AM for Madison, Henderson, and Chester Counties. The warning pertains to radar estimating that 2-4 inches of rain has fallen and with the thunderstorms continuing today, it could include 1-3 inches the rest of the day.

Temperatures right now are in the mid to upper 70s across West Tennessee. There are a few thunderstorms hanging around West Tennessee and there are still some moving in from Arkansas.

Saturday is going to be another day of hit-or-miss thunderstorms. Not everyone will see rain, but for those who do, they could also produce strong thunderstorms with gusty winds and heavier downpours. Overnight, the rain chance will continue and Sunday will also look similar to what we see today, just with a slightly less chance for any activity. It is going to be partly to mostly cloudy both days, helping to curb the temperatures and keep them in the upper 80s or low 90s, but that won’t stop the humidity levels from still being high.

Rest of the Week

The rest of the week we could still see some showers here and there. We should expect the cold front to move on out by Monday, but don’t expect the temperatures to fall very much because the forecast highs for the rest of the week will still remain in the 90s. We will see high pressure begin to build back in by the end of the week, leaving us with a better chance to see more sunshine during the weekend.
