Chick-fil-A offers free meal to costumed customers on ‘Cow Appreciation Day’

JACKSON, Tenn. — A tradition now in its 12th year had dozens of West Tennesseans saying “mooooo” while ordering food Tuesday at Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation DayFor their annual Cow Appreciation Day, customers got a free entree from any Chick-fil-A across the country. The catch? You have to come dressed up as a cow.

The offer runs until 7 p.m., so if you haven’t already been, here’s what north Jackson store owner Kurt Wagar says he’s seen so far.

“It’s very interesting what they wear. They put dots on t-shirts. Some people are really decked out — they have ears and noses, all sorts of stuff. They paint their faces. It’s really quite fun to watch,” Wagar said.
