Skeletonized remains found in Waveland identified
WAVELAND, Miss. (AP) – Hancock County officials have identified the skeletonized body found in Waveland’s Shoreline Park community.
Coroner Jim Faulk tells The Sun Herald the body was that of 35-year-old Jeremy Fountain, of Bay St. Louis. Fountain had been missing about a week before his remains were found in a secluded area on Monday.
Faulk said he used dental records to identify Fountain.
Fountain’s body was sent to Jackson for an autopsy Tuesday.
Faulk said the medical examiners will likely begin the autopsy on Wednesday. He said little of the body remained beyond the skeleton.
