Man on probation arrested on fraud charge

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – A 28-year-old Jackson County man on probation for accessing his former employer’s computer database has been arrested in Gautier on a charge of credit-card fraud.
The Sun Herald reports Thomas Wotring is held for federal marshals pending hearings to revoke his probation on a sentence imposed in federal court in January.

Gautier police arrested him June 29 on a felony charge in a credit-card fraud investigation.

Wotring is a former credit-card processor who was convicted in January for accessing a former employer’s computer records after he was fired. He was fined $2,000 and given two years’ probation.
