Police arrest woman accused of making false bomb threat
COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) – Authorities have arrested a Columbus woman they say threatened to blow up a state office.
Columbus police tell local news organizations they arrested 39-year-old Roschell Cotton on Thursday after receiving reports of threats being made against the Department of Human Services building in Columbus.
Police say Cotton threatened to harm a DHS employee and said she would blow up the building. Authorities arrested her on charges of simple assault and making a false bomb threat.
Cotton, who already had a pending case with the agency, was booked at the Lowndes County jail. It’s unclear if she has an attorney.
