Funeral services set for Kenton Mayor Virginia Davidson
KENTON, Tenn.- New details out of Kenton as the town grieves the loss of its mayor.
Virginia Davidson is remembered by her friends and co-workers as a hardworking person who loved her town, her job and having fun.
She passed away this week following surgery.
Davidson served as the city’s first female mayor after she was elected in 1999 and served ever since except for the 2006-10 term.
“She really loved the town of Kenton and she loved the people in Kenton..all of the people, not just some of them she loved all of the people in
Kenton. And if there was anything she could help you do, she was always wiling to help do it.” said Sarah Skinner, a long-time friend of Mayor Davidson.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-9 p.m at Kenton Church of God, with services set for Thursday at 2 p.m. at the church.
