Man charged with firing shotgun to disperse crowd at Lincoln Courts
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have charged a Jackson man with reckless endangerment after he reportedly fired a shotgun into the air during at disturbance at Lincoln Courts.
Jerrick Allen is accused of firing the gunshot around 9:30 p.m. Monday in Lincoln Courts, according to court documents.
Witnesses told police a large crowd had gathered during a disturbance outside in the apartment complex involving Allen and another man.
Allen reportedly went inside his residence, returned to the front door with a shotgun and fired one round into the air in an effort to disperse the crowd, according to the affidavit. Police say Allen admitted to firing the shotgun into the air.
Allen is charged with reckless endangerment with a firearm.
