Fall preview with the Milan Bulldogs
MILAN, Tenn — The Milan Bulldogs finished last season 9-4. On the way they suffered not one, but two tough losses to Liberty Tech. This off-season the Bulldogs got to work, looking to get over that speed bump.
They return eight starters on both sides of the ball, while they have 26 seniors on this years roster. It’s safe to say, experience won’t be a problem for the Milan football team.
“There was a difference in the talent level, ourselves and Liberty last year, and ourselves and Huntingdon,” said Jeff Morris, head coach. “But our kids have really worked hard in the off season. Coaches have pushed them in the weight room, and again we hope that we have closed the gap some.”
Senior offensive lineman, Jacob Rimmer says this will be a new look Bulldog team this season.
“We have a lot of leadership here, because last year we had eight seniors, this year we have 26 so that’s a lot more returning starters so we’re going to be really strong this year,” said Rimmer.
The Bulldogs will start things off with some tough competition, facing the Peabody Golden Tide week one.
