Natchez Transit may soon offer vanpooling
NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) – The Natchez Transit System will soon offer a new program aimed at helping residents carpool to work.
NTS Executive Director Sabrena Bartley tells the Natchez Democrat the agency was recently approached by the Community Transportation Association of America about becoming a provider in its Vanpool Works program.
Vanpool Works is a program offered in other parts of the state and across the county. She says it’s geared toward creating a ride-share program for residents needing to get to work or seeking to save money on their commutes.
Bartley says the costs for rides are still being finalized.
