Parsons man arrested for arson after weekend fire
PARSONS, Tenn. — A local man is charged with arson following a house fire investigation.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 57-year-old Charles Roach was arrested on Monday.
According to the TBI, on Sunday, fire investigators were requested by the Decatur County Sherriff’s Office and Fire Department to investigate a fire that occurred in the 50 block of Ronnie Cruise Drive in Parsons.
A press release states that investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set, and information was developed that identified Roach as the person responsible.
The TBI says Roach was booked into the Decatur County Jail on Monday on one count of arson, with a bond set at $75,000.
