Boater’s body found in Pascagoula River
GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) – Police have found the body of a man in the Pascagoula River.
Gautier Police Officer Matt Hoggart tells local media that shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified that a man had fallen overboard while boating in the Big Lake area.
The Gautier Police Department’s dive team and officers from the state Department of Marine Resources began searching for the man and found his body shortly before 11 p.m., close to where he fell overboard.
The victim’s name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
