Jackson police respond to shooting on N. Parkway

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police responded Thursday afternoon to a reported shooting on North Parkway.

According to police, at least one gunshot was fired into a vehicle around 2:40 p.m. along North Parkway.

Officers are on scene just east of North Parkway Middle School. There are no reports of injuries.

Police recovered a pistol in Muse Park that they believe is related to the incident. Officers say they are searching for a silver or gray Lincoln in connection with the shooting.

Traffic is restricted to one lane as officers investigate.
