Local organization honors lost veterans
LEXINGTON, Tenn.—A special ceremony took place this morning.
Members of the Boy and Girl Scouts paid a special tribute to our lost veterans.
This was an event conducted by the West TN Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
The ceremony took place from 10:30 this morning until 12 this afternoon.
The scouts honored them by reciting poetry, pledging allegiance, and observing a moment of silence.
“We want the children to pause, to stop and to be reflective of why they have the freedoms they do,” said Tricia Cashon, West TN Council of Boy Scouts of America.
The scouts also placed flags at every gravesite of our fallen heroes.
