Wreck claims life of Milan graduate Macy Barrentine

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities confirm details on a fatal wreck that claimed the life of a local woman.

On Sunday, November 5, the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a wreck that occurred around 7:25 p.m. in Madison County.

According to a preliminary report, a 2010 Nissan Maxima was traveling on US 45E near Pagemont Drive when it left the roadway, overturned, and came to a final rest in the median.

The THP confirms the 18-year-old driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, received non-fatal injuries.

The THP also confirms that the passenger, 20-year-old Macy Barrentine, died due to injuries received in the wreck.

According to THP, Barrentine was not wearing a seatbelt.

An investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Macy was a 2022 graduate of Milan High School.
