Discovery Park’s ‘Let It Glow’ light show returns with kickoff ceremony Friday
UNION CITY, Tenn. — A popular seasonal event returns this month, bigger and brighter than ever.
The Discovery Park of America’s “Let It Glow” light show will be open from November 10-December 30.
More than a million lights will brighten the night sky in Union City for this dazzling holiday attraction.
The light show offers both drive-through and walk-through options at different prices. Tickets for the drive-through are $10 per car, or $50 per bus with 11 or more passengers. The walk-through is $5 per person, but children three and under get in free.
A kickoff ceremony will be held on opening day, this Friday beginning at 6 p.m., which will feature performances by internationally-acclaimed soprano Sabrina Warren, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Voices of Union City Elementary School, and even special guest appearances from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
The kickoff ceremony is free for members, and $5 for non-members. There will also be a members-only “Park After Dark” event immediately following the ceremony, allowing members to explore the entire museum and heritage park until 9 p.m.
The “Let It Glow” light show will be open from 5-9 p.m. nightly, and will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
