Henderson County Sheriff’s Department Warns About Scam

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department sent out a warning for residents Saturday, involving a bank scam. Authorities said at least a dozen people have received texts that claim to be from Region’s Bank. The texts tell people that their card has been deactivated, and to call a provided number. Upon calling, the person is instructed to enter their card and PIN numbers to reactivate it. Authorities stress that this is a scam, and whoever is responsible is just stealing money. So if you receive a text like this, disregard it.
