Annual event honors veterans in Parkers Crossroads
PARKERS CROSSROADS, Tenn. – An annual event took place Friday morning to celebrate our nation’s heroes.
Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery held a special ceremony Friday morning. Veterans in the audience were thanked for their service to their country.
The Veterans Honor Guard of Parker’s Crossroads paid their respect by doing the 13 flag fold, which pays remembrance to veterans.
This service also recognized families for being a strong support system while their spouses or loved ones served.
“I joined the Veterans Honor Guard to help do funerals and ceremonies. I’ve been with them for five years and I do not regret a minute of it,” said Jimmy McGill, the President of the Veterans Honor Guard/Crossroads.
Reboot Camp Charity and Operations Zero, a charity to help stop veteran suicide, provided free water and drinks to everyone present.
