Liberty graduate shares update on professional wrestling career
JACKSON, Tenn. – “Show up, work hard, be a worthy champion.” These are words from Markel “Marko” Harris, a Jacksonian born and raised.

A graduate of Liberty High School, he has embarked on a journey of pursuing a career in professional wrestling.
He is almost 20-years-old and in just two years, the road has taken him to championship gold several times.
He has also received high-level scouting by the WWE.
In four out of the five titles that Harris holds, he’s the first African American to accomplish them.
And for every single one of them, he’s the youngest to have attained them.
“I’m passionate about wrestling because it’s a physical art form. It’s something I can do and I can create and have that freedom to create because I love art, but I can’t draw, I can’t do any of that. But I can do it in a physical form,” Harris said.
Harris also spoke about his early time training in Jackson and expressed that he would love to bring wrestling back to this community.
