Authorities responding to situation on Ridgedale Drive in Jackson

UPDATE: JPD officials say the incident was initially called in as a home invasion, expecting hostages. JPD says there are no hostages and the house has been cleared. They are currently doing a double check to make sure the scene is safe. No one was injured.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Authorities are responding to a situation Friday afternoon in the Hub City.

Multiple tipsters alerted us to a heavy law enforcement presence at Ridgedale Drive in northeast Jackson.

We have crews on scene who confirm SWAT is present, along with officers from the Jackson Police Department.

Police say that officers responded to a report of a home invasion around 1:46 p.m. on the 300 block of Ridgedale Drive.
