New JPD officers sworn in on Monday
JACKSON, Tenn. – Family and friends gathered together as newly appointed officers were sworn in.

Chief Thom Corley had some encouraging words for the newcomers, including the four F’s: family, fitness, faith and fun.
Former officers shook hands with the eight new members and a prayer was led by Deputy Chief Derrick Tisdale.
Chief Corley says these new officers are needed as others prepare for retirement.
“They’re getting close to mandatory retirement so that’s gonna happen, and so we will need to fill those positions as that occurs,” Corley said.
Newly appointed officers will continue training with officers for three months to make sure they have the proper training in the work field.
