West Tennessee shoppers continue the quest for Black Friday deals
JACKSON, Tenn.–Shoppers in the Hub City cashed in on amazing Black Friday deals before Christmas arrives.
For some families, their traditions include eating their Thanksgiving meals and then waiting in line for the Black Friday deals. For one Hub City shopper this was their first time participating in Black Friday.
“This is the first time I’ve ever Black Friday shopped. It’s really fun, the lines are really crazy. The lines are pretty long, finding some good stuff,” said shopper Macy Fallon.
Many stores had some pretty good deals, according to another shopper.
“There’s definitely a lot more people here but Kohl’s is pretty quiet, lots of great deals. We found a few Christmas gifts, but that’s about it,” said shopper Elena Parkerson.
At Academy Sports, they allowed employees off on Thanksgiving and opened the store just before 5 am Friday.
“Well, it’s been quite an experience. This is my first time working a Black Friday. It’s been very, very busy. We opened up about a quarter to 5 and we had about 50 people standing outside waiting to come in. It’s been a steady flow all day,” said Academy Sports employee Debra Dawson.
The store also had deals throughout the day and even more deals for their rewards members.
“The bonus to sign up for a credit card is $15. Some customers have a coupon from a previous shop, so if they add that coupon to the card they get even more,” said Dawson.
If you missed out on any deals during Black Friday, look online for Cyber Monday deals on Monday November 27.
