Christmas activities returning to Lexington area for the holidays

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — Bringing joy to family and friends.

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to the many festive activities coming up in Lexington.

Lots of preparation has gone into turning the city into a Hallmark movie scene, with lights and decorations found throughout the court square and downtown.

The Lexington Christmas parade is December 11 in downtown Lexington, and it’s the city’s second year with an ice rink.

“We’ve got a cookie eating contest coming up. We’ve got all kinda things coming up that you can find online,” said Lexington Mayor Jeff Griggs. “But we are very excited about this time of the year and look forward to a lot of people, not only local people coming to enjoy, but people from out of town as well.”
