‘Visit Jackson TN’ holds monthly meeting, discusses economic development
JACKSON, Tenn.– Financial plans and activities were reviewed Thursday in a local meeting.
‘Visit Jackson TN’ held their monthly meeting on how to continuously build a strong community.
One of the main topics discussed was tourism and how they could upgrade their marketing campaign, will launch in the spring of 2024, featuring the West Tennessee Sportsplex.
Members of the committee are happy that they’re funded through the hotel-motel tax, which has increased by 6 percent. The increase in percentage helps build infrastructure, fund schools, and cover many different projects.
“Many people don’t realize that not only does the Sportsplex contribute to tourism, but the USJ Holiday Mart. Different activities all built on tourism and it’s also a benefit to our local community,” said Lori Nunnery, CEO of ‘Visit Jackson TN’.
Nunnery says be sure to check out ‘Visit Jackson TN’ on Facebook for all of their upcoming events.
