Unique worship service hosted by St. Luke’s in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—Where words fail, music speaks. Members of the community gathered together for their music to fill the hearts of the people.
Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church hosted their Advent Festival of Lessons this afternoon.
This event was a special time of song, prayer and expectation.
All of the proceeds for this event will benefit St. Luke’s program.
Nine lessons were read as well as hymns sung by the choir.
The congregation had an opportunity to sing as well as enjoy the music.
A reception was held afterward for those who wanted to stay and fellowship.
“There’s a lot of fear in the world right now, there’s a lot of polarization and this is a chance to give hope,” said Tim True, Interim Priest in Charge.
True also wanted to brag on the Choir director, Joshua Bullock, who has worked extremely hard with the choir.
