Annual lighting of the Jackson Christmas tree lights the way to the holiday season
JACKSON, Tenn.–The lighting of the Jackson Christmas tree was held ahead of the annual Christmas parade here in the Hub City.
The tree lighting was held in front of Jackson City Hall in downtown Jackson, where residents gathered together to celebrate the holidays.
Even the Grinch was in town to celebrate the season, telling us how celebrating the festivities felt.
“I feel wonderful about Christmas. I feel like the giving and the loving and just the joy and the smiles and the laughter and the food!… Yeah!,” said the Grinch.
This year’s theme is “A Season of Giving”. Jackson Mayor Scott conger encouraged everyone to drop off canned food and non-perishable items at City Hall, Westwood Community Center, or the T.R. White Sportsplex to help those in need this holiday season.
