According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Tyler Ashby, of Hollow Rock, was arrested Monday night on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, theft of property over $2,500, theft of property over $10,000, felony reckless endangerment, evading arrest, resisting stop/arrest, and driving on revoked/suspended license.

Authorities say Ashby was wanted for an incident at Jack Martin’s Jewelry in McKenzie on November 28, where Ashby allegedly struck the store owner, tased him, and robbed him of $10,000 in cash and a necklace he was wearing.

Authorities confirm just before 9 Monday evening, Ashby was involved in a pursuit where he reached speeds over 100 miles per hour, before eventually abandoning his vehicle near a home on Seven Hills Lane in Atwood.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Ashby was arrested after attempting to flee on-foot. Ashby was booked into the Carroll County Jail, and currently remains in custody.
