Storm causes damage in Weakley Co.
DRESDEN, Tenn.—Around 3 Saturday evening our crews arrived in south Dresden after reports of storm damage.
Upon arrival, they saw downed trees and powerlines, roof damage to the nearby National Guard Armory, and damage to three buildings near the intersection of Evergreen Street and Arnold Road.
Dresden city workers were seen out restoring power and cleaning up fallen trees and other debris.
According to Weakley County EMA Director Ray Wiggington, two houses on Summers Road also received significant damage.
Two injuries were also reported out of Dresden from the storms.
It was just two years ago when a significant portion of downtown Dresden was destroyed by a tornado.
