Several Jackson restaurants to keep doors open for New Year holiday
JACKSON, Tenn. — Some of your favorite eateries want to satisfy your taste buds for the New Year.
2024 is vastly approaching and it’s time to celebrate with a happy tummy.
Instead of closing to reserve the holiday, these restaurants are willing to continue to make you glad through a hot plate.
We spoke to Old Country Store owner Brooks Shaw, who stated that he would be one of the businesses up and running for the holiday.
Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
“We always close early for New Year’s Eve to give our team the night off to be home and be safe with their families and to ring in the new year,” Shaw said.
Furthermore, the delicious restaurant will return on New Year’s Day with some of your favorites.
“We have hog jaw and black eyed peas, we have turnip greens and cabbage, and we always have a good crowd to kick off the new year,” said Shaw.
Not only is Shaw dedicated to serving the community for this holiday season, but we spoke to the owner of Mulligans, Mary Pruett, who stated that their restaurant will be up and rolling as well.
“We’re open all day,” Pruett said. “We open at 11 a.m. and we will be closing when the crowd leaves.”
Come rain, sleet or snow, these restaurants are available to service you so why don’t you take your families out for this holiday season and enjoy a bite with your friends.
