Reelfoot Lake State Park to host 20th Annual Eagle Festival
TIPTONVILLE, Tenn.— Annual eagle festival set for February at Reelfoot Lake.
Reelfoot Lake State Park will host its 20th Annual Eagle Festival from February 2nd through the 4th.
There will be a TWRA Wildlife Exhibit from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all three days.

There will be a duck decoy painting or a 5×7 canvas panel children’s activity on the second day of the festival. There will also be an eagle photo and art contest.
In addition to the annual festival, visitors can take an eagle tour of Reelfoot. The Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge holds annual eagle and waterfowl tours in January and February. Visitors have the opportunity to take a two-hour bus tour to observe eagles and waterfowl.
These tours will be offered seven days a week until the end of February. Tours will depart from the visitor center. Reservations are required to participate in the tours, and tickets can be purchased at the visitor center for $20 plus tax per person.
The tours will last approximately two hours and will be guided by a member of park personnel around the 15,500-acre lake.
During the tour, visitors can stop for photos and additional sightseeing. The Reelfoot Park has between 85 to 100 eagle nests.
The staff recommends visitors to dress warmly and bring a camera or binoculars.
