Police: Man’s body found next to burned vehicle in alleyway
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found next to a burned vehicle in a Nashville alley.
Media outlets report that Nashville Metro police say in a news release that the body of 59-year-old Jackie Mayes was discovered Tuesday morning in the north Nashville alleyway by a Metro Public Works employee.
Police say Mayes was found lying next to a partially burned Chevrolet Blazer.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death.
Police are asking anyone with information about Mayes’ death to contact authorities.
