Death investigation underway in Henderson County
UPDATE (01/11/2024): Stand-off ends with 2 murder suspects in custody
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Early Monday morning, we received a tip of a heavy police presence on Presley Road in Henderson County. We reached out to the Henderson County Sheriff, Brian Duke, who confirmed that there had been a shooting.
We arrived at the scene around 7:30 a.m. and spoke with law enforcement with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. They said that the investigation had been sent over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
We reached out to the TBI to request a statement, and they responded saying that they did not have much information, however they could confirm that agents were requested by the District Attorney General Jody Pickens regarding a death investigation.
Agents could be seen going to neighboring houses, presumably asking them if they had seen or heard anything at the time of the incident.
We were also able to see agents place evidence markers on the road and what seemed to be the front yard of the residence.
