TBI shares name of victim in Henderson County shooting
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – We have an update regarding the investigation of a shooting that occurred in Henderson County Monday morning.
Early Monday morning WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News received a tip of a heavy police presence in the 300 block of Presley Road in Henderson County.
We contacted Sheriff Brian Duke who confirmed that there had been a shooting.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation informed us that they were requested by District Attorney General Jody Pickens regarding a death investigation.
We contacted the TBI again on Tuesday morning requesting any updated information.
They confirmed that 21-year-old Matthew D. Jones had been identified as the deceased individual at the scene.
This remains an active investigation.
