USJ prepares for upcoming “Suite Surrender” performances

JACKSON, Tenn. — Local students came together Tuesday night to prepare for a big show. The University School of Jackson’s theater group held a rehearsal  for their upcoming show “Suite Surrender.”
Organizers say the play is a comedy that also includes some singing parts, including opera.

“It is an absolute hilarious comedy about two feuding actresses coming together to perform for the soldiers. It’s 1942, World War Two is going on. But they hate each other and somehow they wind up in the same hotel suite,” explained Erica Davidson. Davidson is the theater director at USJ.

You can see the show for yourself this weekend. Shows will be held at 5pm on Friday January 12th… at 7pm on Saturday January 13th… and at 2pm on Sunday January 14th.
All performances will be held at the Blankenship theater.
Tickets can be purchased on the school’s website or at the door.
