UPDATE: Saltillo mayor facing criminal summons following December altercation
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. – The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office shared an update on an incident involving Saltillo Mayor Gregory Billings and two others.
The sheriff confirmed that Kenneth Wade took out a criminal summons against Billings for assault. The sheriff says the summons was served on Monday.
The sheriff says with a criminal summons, Billings has up to 10 days to go to the jail to be processed.
The sheriff says during the process, he will be booked and then released. The sheriff says he does not have to make bond on a summons.
Back in mid-December, former Saltillo Mayor David Willis and Wade, a resident, were arrested and both charged with assault after an altercation with Billings.
