David Allison, 19, is charged with 10 counts of attempted first-degree murder, four counts of aggravated assault, and one count of employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Allison’s attorney, Joe Byrd, entered a not guilty plea for all 15 counts.

Allison is accused of shooting several cars Aug. 25 at the Stanley Black & Decker Plant in Jackson. Investigators said Allison also fired at several employees.

Police said Allison got rid of his gun when it malfunctioned and then took off into the woods. Officers said they found the gun and a vest with additional ammunition. Police said they collected more than 120 spent shell casings from the scene.

Officers said Allison also waved a knife at four people.

TBI records show police arrested Allison in January for aggravated assault. He’s accused of racking a shotgun while confronting a man about someone selling him bad drugs, according to court documents.

The prosecutor requested a forensic evaluation. Allison’s attorney requested an independent evaluation from a clinical psychologist. The judge granted both requests.

Byrd said Allison waived any request for bail. The judge set Allison’s bond at $500,000. “He’s not going to make a bond, and if the bond was set at $5,000 he’s going to stay where he is,” Byrd said.

Allison’s attorney told the judge he had the jail take a urine sample from his client Friday that police will also have access to.

Allison is scheduled to return to court at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22.
