Man charged in apartment complex shooting in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — A second suspect in an August shooting at Parkridge Apartments had a $1 million bond set Friday during his first court appearance.

FRANKLINJaquel Franklin is now charged with attempted first-degree murder and a firearms count.

According to court papers, on Aug. 21 Franklin punched and pistol whipped the victim before chasing and shooting him in the chest.

Jarvis Hodges was arrested on an attempted first-degree murder count a few days after the shooting.
