Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday

Clear skies are in the forecast across West Tennessee tonight with temperatures dropping to the middle and upper 60s by sunrise at 6:33 a.m. Thursday morning. It’ll be a little more mild and muggier than it was this morning. More heat and humidity is in the forecast for the rest of the workweek, but there’s a cold front on the way. The weekend is expected to include our next best chance for rain on Saturday with cooler, less humid, and clearer conditions on Sunday.

THURSDAY
Another hot and humid day is forecast for tomorrow but with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are still forecast to warm up to the lower and middle 90s with a slight chance for rain. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible in West Tennessee between the later hours of the morning and early evening.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND
The oncoming cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms closer to the Mid-South by Friday. Right now, the latest data is suggesting that northwest Tennessee (areas north of I-40) could see some showers and thunderstorms late Thursday night and early Friday morning. However, the overwhelming majority of data continues to keep Friday afternoon and evening dry across most of the Mid-South.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through the region along the cold front on Saturday from the morning through the afternoon and into the evening. It may turn out that not everyone gets rain on Saturday but all of West Tennessee will be treated to cooler and less humid weather on Sunday. Have a good evening!
