Teen killed, another injured in Dyersburg double shooting

EARLIER STORY:

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — The Dyersburg Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left a teen dead.

According to the department, around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the area of Hike and Palmer Street, in reference to two shooting victims.

Upon arrival, police say that officers discovered a 17-year-old dead at the scene inside of a vehicle.

According to Dyersburg Police, a second 17-year-old was transported to an ambulance service by private vehicle, and later airlifted to a Memphis hospital.

At this time, details are limited as the investigation remains ongoing.
