Authorities respond to multi-vehicle wreck in Crockett County

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — On Wednesday morning, multiple vehicles were involved in a wreck on Highway 412 in Crockett County.

Our crews were notified about the wreck shortly before 8 a.m., and arrived at the wreck seeing one black sedan in the median, with extensive damage to the front end.

Back on the right lane of 412, there was a silver sedan that also had extensive damage in the front of the vehicle, plus the rear.

A black tow truck was seen with less severe looking damage in the front with the tire also misaligned.

Near the damaged tow truck was another sedan that has appeared to have slid off of the hill into a dip off the road.

Multiple Crockett County Sheriff’s Department deputies were on scene, with tow trucks.

Traffic was still able to flow slowly in the left lane.

We spoke to the Crockett County Sheriff Department who shared that they were contacted at 6:33 a.m. about two cars hitting a tow truck, on the 8600 block of 412 South.

There were no major injuries, but one of the people involved in the wreck went to a local hospital with very minor injuries.

Sheriff Troy Klyce reported this was only the second wreck with injuries throughout this winter storm, and wanted to thank everyone for driving carefully.
