Janice Marie Spencer Phillips

Janice Marie Spencer Phillips, age 58, resident of Millington, Tennessee and wife of Rickey Phillips, departed this life Saturday evening, January 13, 2024 at her home.

Janice was born November 6, 1965 in Fayette County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Franklin Spencer and Thelma Lee Creasey Spencer. She received her education in the Shelby County School System and had been a resident of Shelby County for much of her life. She was married August 14, 1993 to Rickey Phillips and was employed as a housekeeper for Applingwood Assisted Living in Cordova, Tennessee for many years. Mrs. Phillips was of the Southern Baptist faith, enjoyed fast cars and was a NASCAR racing fan.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Rickey Phillips of Millington, TN; her daughter, Jessica Gentile (Jeffrey) of Covington, TN; her granddaughter, Kinslee Marie Gentile; two sisters, Linda Gail Phillips of Millington, TN and Alice Spencer of Millington, TN; her two nieces, Latrisha Bishop and Rylee Bishop; her nephew, Dalton Paradise; and her step-grandson, Tyler Schroeder.

A visitation for Mrs. Phillips will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2024at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Steve Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Gentile, Danny Phillips, Dalton Paradise, Andrew French, Bobby Bishop and David Bishop.
