Meineke in Jackson thanks first responders with free oil change

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local business thanked first responders in the Jackson-Madison County area on Monday with a free oil change.

The Meineke Car Care Center in Jackson gave first responders a free oil change and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Owner John Anthony says staff got out and started preparing at 1 o’clock Monday morning. He says first responders are always there when you need them.

“[We had a] small fire here one time in the electrical system in the roof,” Anthony said. “They came out and they were great. And when I see them, sometimes they still remember it, you know, so they’ve been great to me, and I’d just like to show appreciation.”

Volunteers from out of state also came to Jackson to help out.
