West TN State Fair officially opens for 161st year
JACKSON, Tenn.-Gates are open and the Ferris wheel is lit as the West Tennessee State Fair, officially opens.
The West Tennessee tradition is set up at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park, with events scheduled for six straight days.
From rides, to games on the midway to exhibits and pageants, organizers said the fair has something for everyone.
“Bring your kids, come to the fair because it’s bonding, your little kids will never forget it. They’ll remember the time with your parents and they’ll remember the rides,” said Mike Peery, manager of the West Tennessee State Fair.
The fair includes the 4-H Chicken Shack, which is open through Saturday. The West Tennessee State Fair runs through Sunday.
