UPDATE: Missing juvenile from Brownsville area located

UPDATE: According to The Aware Foundation, Jamiya has been located and transported to a hospital for evaluation.

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — The Brownsville Police Department confirms a search is underway for a missing juvenile, Jamiya House. The following information was received by The Aware Foundation:

***MISSING JUVENILE*** BROWNSVILLE, TN
The Brownsville Police Department is attempting to locate a missing 14-year-old juvenile. Jamiya House was last seen on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at her residence in Brownsville, TN. She was last seen wearing a purple jacket, blue denim jeans, and black shoes. Jamiya has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. She left without her medication and may need medical attention. According to her mother, it is believed she is with two older women she met on Instagram. Jamiya called her mother and sent text messages using another phone that was pinged in Antioch, TN. Her mother believes she wants to return home and is concerned for her well-being.
