Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office warns public about phone scams
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a warning after getting reports about suspicious phone calls.
Deputies say they’ve received several calls this week from people concerned about the calls.
One person said a deputy had called saying he’d failed to show up for jury duty and must pay up.
The sheriff’s office says they never make threatening phone calls and that if a caller promises payouts or big winnings, it’s probably a scam.
