Woman back in custody after failure to appear on 2nd-degree murder charge
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A woman recently added to Madison County’s most wanted list is back in custody.
Norma Barnett was added to that list last week after authorities say she didn’t show up to court while free on bond on a second-degree murder charge.
She faces the charge in the city’s first homicide of 2016 on Jan. 3 when police say she stabbed and killed her boyfriend, 62-year-old Melvin Henning.
