Local entrepreneurs showcase their business ideas at Delta Challenge Pitch Competition
JACKSON, Tenn.-Area entrepreneurs get the chance of a lifetime to showcase their ideas to help launch their own businesses.
Wednesday night, the Delta Regional Authority held its “Delta Challenge Pitch Competition” at Lane College.
In a “Shark Tank”-type presentation, seven people had a chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of four judges.
Organizers said winners will receive human resource support, financial support and marketing support along with advice.
“They don’t have time and they don’t have the resources to go out and seek the support that they need. The Delta Regional Authority has the knowledge and the skills to provide them with that support,” said Michelle Stewart, vice president of academic affairs at Lane College.
The top three winners will be announced, Thursday.
