Local schools bring Mardi Gras to the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local event brings some New Orleans flavor to the Hub City.
Sacred Heart of Jesus High School and St. Mary’s School hosted a Mardi Gras Auction.
This event was held at the Jackson Country Club.
Participants of the event dressed up in formal attire and were able to attend a silent auction.
That auction included, but wasn’t limited to scratch off tickets, wine, and fine cutlery.
Guests were even able to enjoy an open bar and live music.
“So all the proceeds go to both schools to celebrate the Catholic schools of Jackson, so it goes to tuition help, funding of you know teaching salaries, whatever we need to make sure we can provide the best education we have for our students,” said Nathan Gwinn, Principal at St. Mary’s Catholic School.
A live auction was also held for guests to enjoy.
