Young reenactor represents West Tennessee event in Nashville

JACKSON, Tenn. — A young reenactor was dispatched to Nashville to represent an annual event.

Wyatt Fields, 13, represented the Tennessee River Rendezvous after being invited to the 2024 Veterans Legislative Day in Nashville.

Wyatt Fields was able to visit the Capitol building, attend meetings that discussed legislation regarding veterans, and speak with legislators all while portraying a 101st Airborne paratrooper from World War II.

His parents, Michael and Bridgette Fields, shared that they are “beyond grateful, and proud of Wyatt and what this experience could lead to in his future!”

His parents joined him in Nashville, with his dad representing a frontiersman, and his mother portraying a WWII nurse.

Wyatt, who started as part of a reenactment group at the age of 9 talked about his trip to the state Capitol to raise awareness of important issues that veterans face.

“I felt like it was such a great learning experience and an honor to get to go represent our veterans that have fought and gave it all for us,” said Wyatt.
