Over 100 ladies attend ‘Galentine’s Day’ event
JACKSON, Tenn. – Valentine’s Day is less than a week away. However, for some, the celebration began Thursday evening.
Thursday night, the Elks Lodge #192 of Jackson celebrated “Galentine’s Day.”
The ladies only event included a fun night of celebrating friendships.
Dinner was served by the men of Elks Lodge #192.
There were also vendors on hand for some fun shopping before dinner, along with door prizes and some surprises.
Organizers say this year’s event has grown even bigger than last year’s event.
“Last year we had 70 ladies attend and it benefited the Dream Center. And so this is our second annual, and we are maxed out with over a hundred ladies in attendance tonight,” said Dawn Phipps, the Committee Chair of the Galentine’s Day event.
Phipps says more than anything, the event celebrates women who come together and support one another.
