New program offers state-of-the-art VR training for school athletes
JACKSON, Tenn.–One West Tennessee school welcomes an exciting program.
Trenton Rosenwald Middle School has implemented a groundbreaking virtual reality training program that’s typically reserved for professional baseball players.
Through the use of state-of-the-art virtual reality headsets and specialized bat attachments, the school’s baseball team now has the opportunity to immerse themselves in an innovative training experience.
Head Baseball Coach Daniel Hodges, explains a little of what it can do.
“There’s a live pitching where I can control it from my phone through an app and it gives me immediate feedback. I can pick where the pitch is being located, where it’s thrown, what type of pitch… all of that,” said Coach Hodges.
School officials say by integrating VR into their athletic training regimen, they aim to provide students with unparalleled opportunities for skill development and growth.
